That is a 2018 model and HDMI eARC functionality was a new feature first introduced in 2019 LG OLEDs. From a value perspective I think the soundbar is more competitive in the $500-$600 range of soundbar. If you like more of a balanced sound and emphasis more on high end of spectrum then the soundbar could be of your liking. Adjusting the EQ doesn’t seem to be linear in terms amount of gain vs output and possibly reason why even highest settings for woofer still doesn’t produce the lows desired. There is no direct control feature on soundbar to control EQ that can only be done by phone app. when I disconnect the soundbar from the e-arc, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi connection seems the tv connects faster.
At times it seems that the soundbar will interfere with the network connectivity of my LG G1 OLED. To get the surround effects you don’t want to be too far from the soundbar and want to emphasize the side/back speaker effects. The highs on the tv including projecting voice are good, but the mid to low range are a bit overwhelming. Clear highs, lows not so much I bought the SP9YA about a month ago and have tried it it’s eq options for movies, sports, and regular tv.
